Cribbage Hand Counter
Pick your four cards and the starter (the cut card). The counter shows every fifteen, pair, run, flush and nobs, the way you would say them out loud.
How a cribbage hand is counted
- Fifteens: every group of cards that adds up to 15 is 2 points. Face cards count 10, aces 1.
- Pairs: 2 points for each pair. Three of a kind is three pairs (6), four of a kind six pairs (12).
- Runs: three or more in a row, 1 point per card. A double run like 3-4-4-5 counts twice.
- Flush: four cards of one suit in the hand is 4, five with the starter is 5. The crib only counts a five-card flush.
- Nobs: the jack of the same suit as the starter is 1 point.
The best possible hand is 29: three fives and the jack of the fourth suit, with the five of that suit as the starter.
