Canasta Score Calculator
Count each side after a hand: canastas, red threes, going out and the cards. The calculator adds it up, keeps the running score and tells you the first meld you need next.
How Canasta is scored
- Canastas: natural (no wild cards) 500, mixed 300.
- Red threes: 100 each, all four 800. If your side melded nothing, they count against you.
- Going out: 100, or 200 if you go out concealed (all at once, without melding before).
- Cards: jokers 50, 2s and aces 20, 8 through king 10, 4 through 7 and black 3s 5. Cards in the melds count for you, cards left in hand against you.
- First meld: 50 points below 1,500, 90 from 1,500, 120 from 3,000; 15 when your score is below zero. The game ends at 5,000.
